We are thrilled to welcome Chris Burton to the team as a Senior eDiscovery Consultant.

Chris has worked in the legal industry for over a decade. More importantly, Chris has played multiple roles along the way. Chris is a licensed attorney in both Kansas and Missouri, and he began his career in private practice. Being drawn to the technical side of eDiscovery, Chris transitioned to the project management and consulting side a few years later. This gives Chris a unique opportunity to understand our role from multiple perspectives.

“Chris will be a huge asset to our team,” Senior eDiscovery Project Manager, Katrina Classen shares. “His knowledge and background paired with our team’s experience, will make us even stronger and ensure we continue to deliver the best in eDiscovery to our clients.”

Chris will work with clients to:

  • Develop and review ESI protocols
  • Develop custom workflows for complex litigations
  • Ensure that the workflows are working and effective by providing ongoing oversight and process management.

“I’m approaching eDiscovery from an attorney’s perspective, which can be slightly different. I know how matters work and that a lot of decision-making in the eDiscovery process is tactical,” Chris, shared. “I think the best teams are a mix of attorneys and non-attorneys, so I’m excited to work with Katrina and the rest of the team, who are great at keeping up with the quickly changing technology and workflow capabilities. I’m really looking forward to connecting with the Kansas City legal community and sharing the value Complete Legal brings to other attorneys in the metro.”

Chris lives in Kansas City and has degrees from The University of Kansas and UMKC School of Law. His experience spans clerking for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, working at a law office, serving as a review attorney and working his way up to a Team Lead at a large eDiscovery organization.

“Chris has a unique and powerful background,” Co-Founder Jeff Dreiling said.  “He knows the ins and outs of a lawsuit and understands what impacts an attorney and their case. Chris is ready to develop custom solutions a will be a powerful resource for our clients.”
